If it fits in one piece, we leave it whole.<\/p>\n<p>We never dismantle &#8220;just in case&#8221; \u2014 every piece that comes apart costs time both taking it apart and putting it back together, and you see that on your invoice.<\/p>\n<p>In the end the property decides. On the day our movers measure the narrowest points of the route: the turn on the landing, the width of the front door, the height under a sloping staircase. A double bed that looks too big on paper sometimes goes through a wide hallway upright without trouble. Equally, a 1.4-metre wardrobe may still need dismantling because the bend in the stairwell won&#8217;t allow it. The joints are designed to be assembled once, not to come apart repeatedly.
